WELCOME TO MY CICADA BLOG

Hi, My name is Cameron. I am 23 years old, and I have had a strong interest and passion for cicadas for over 10 years now. As what I guess you can call a "cicada enthusiast", cicadas aren't just insects to me, (as we have labeled them).  Instead, they are a fascinating wonder of creation. They are the very essence of nature for me. While most people shy away from cicadas out of fear of something scary and unknown, I've grown a connection with nature through them. This connection for me is on an ecstatic and enthusiastic level. Most people are so busy going about their everyday jobs, worried about life, that they never take a moment to sit in fascination of the fascinating things of the planet we inhabit. While there is no escaping the reality of adult responsibilities, I myself take time out to just sit in awe and wonder of a divine creation we had no part of in making. The rush of excitement and fascination I experience while being in the midst of a cicada emergence, is like no other feeling I've ever felt. I have created this blog, in hopes of sharing my genuine passion and interest for the most amazing insects on the planet. I hope this site can teach it's viewers about cicadas, as well as encourage it's viewers to take a step back from humanity for a moment, and realize a whole world of fascinating creation that humanity was not responsible for.
